The first-ever Transition US online summit brought Transition initiatives from all over the US together for a day-long virtual get-together. The October 27 event featured keynote discussions, stories about what different groups and doing, and reflections on challenges and opportunities. Though the event was online, a small group of TPAers met in person for a day-long local watch party.
Some of the session were prerecorded, and videos are available at this Dropbox site. I particularly recommend the two keynote interviews. In the first, Transition co-founder Rob Hopkins and Sarah McAdam provide a thoughtful perspective on the past, present, and future of the Transition movement. The second interview with author and educator Margaret Wheatley explores the questions of who we want to be and how we can live in this time as our civilization collapses and we venture into the unknown.
