The craft swap continues, a chance to share your arts and crafts supplies, get some new-to-you goodies, and get to know other people in the area while keeping stuff out of the landfill!
This time we have a special set of demos and show-and-tell of fun arts and crafts by experienced crafters.
Estelle will show us how to repair a torn shirt with embroidery
Annie will demonstrate soap-making
We’ll also show how you can make paper at home, and some interesting ways to repurpose materials to make homemade crafts and gifts.
It’s free and open to all. Come join us!
WHERE: Opalz, 719 Colorado Avenue (at the corner of Middlefield and Colorado, behind 711 Colorado),
WHEN: THIS Sunday, January 29 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
WHAT: Bring anything and everything an artist or crafter might use – paint, fabric, yarn, pencils, stickers, kids’ kits, and more. Bring a bag to take home what’s left of your stuff and whatever you “bought.” (If you can’t find anything to share but want to take part, please come anyway)
HOW: Bring your stuff, sign in, set your supplies out on the respective tables, grab a snack, and schmooze. We’ll start shopping at 1:15 and stop to learn from the demonstrations along the way. At the end, take home what didn’t
