Our very own Peter Ruddock will be participating in a panel hosted by Kim Acker on Thursday, August 15th, 7pm entitled “Eating Your Values” at the Los Altos Library. A second panel will be held the following week as well on the Future of Food.

How do we build a food system that reflects our deepest values? This panel discussion with local experts will explore how our food choices can positively affect ongoing social concerns.
Panelists:
- Jesse Ziff Cool, owner of Jesse Cool Restaurants, author of seven cookbooks and a pioneer in the movement for organic, seasonal, local food
- Sibella Kraus, founder of the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers’ Market as well as SAGE (Sustainable Agriculture Education), which cultivates urban-edge places where farming and local fools culture can thrive
- Blair Thompson, Hidden Villa’s Animal Husbandry Manager who sees regenerative agricultural practices as an essential element in the future of food
- Peter Ruddock, a Slow Food California board president and Coordinator of the California Food Policy Council
The evening begins with an informal reception at the Museum at 6:30pm, with appetizers provided by Epicurean Group. The panel is held immediately following at 7pm at the Los Altos Library Orchard Room. Registration for both is free.
